The Italian authorities have taken the drastic measure of shutting off the entire northern Italian region of Lombardy, home to about 16 million people, in a bid to halt the ongoing coronavirus epidemic in the Mediterranean country. أصبحت بريطانيا خلال الأيام القليلة الماضية، تمتلك أعلى معدل وفيات من جراء “كوفيد 19” بين دول العالم.
وأظهرت بيانات جمعتها منصة بحثية تابعة لجامعة “أوكسفورد”، ونشرتها شبكة “سكاي نيوز” الإخبارية البريطانية، أن معدل الوفيات اليومي في بريطانيا بلغ 935 حالة، خلال الأسبوع الماضي.
وهذا يعني بكلمات أخرى، أن معدل الوفيات في بلغ 16.5 شخصا لكل مليون من السكان، وهو المعدل الأعلى في العالم كله خلال الأسبوع الماضي.
وجاءت في المرتبة الثانية التشيك بنسبة 16.3 وفاة لكل مليون، والبرتغال في المرتبة الثالثة بنسبة 14.8، ثم سلوفاكيا رابعة بنسبة 14.5، وليتوانيا خامسة بواقع 13.0 وفاة.
