أعلن وزير شؤون أوروبا وأميركا الشمالية بوزارة الخارجية البريطانية، جيمس كليفرلي، إن بلاده تراقب عن كثب احتمال استخدام القوات الروسية للأسلحة الكيمياوية على الأراضي الأوكرانية، مؤكداً أن أي تصرف من هذا النوع ستكون له “عواقب وخيمة”، وفق تعبيره.
كما أضاف بتغريدة عبر حسابه على تويتر أن هناك عدداً من الدول تهدد رؤية اتفاقية حظر الأسلحة الكيميائية للسلام من خلال تطويرها واستخدامها للأسلحة الكيمياوية.
