The President- elect along with Vice President- elect Kamala D. Harris introduced Antony Blinken for Secretary of State, Alejandro Mayorkas for Secretary of Homeland Security, Avril Haines for Director of National Intelligence, Linda Thomas-Greenfield for U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Jake Sullivan as National Security Adviser, and John Kerry as Special Presidential Envoy for Climate.

بدأ وزير الخارجية الأميركي أنتوني بلينكن، مساء الخميس، جولة جديدة في آسيا مدّتها عشرة أيام يعتزم في خلالها تعزيز العلاقات مع الحلفاء الرئيسيين لبلاده في منطقة تخوض فيها منافسة شرسة مع الصين.
وتشمل جولة بلينكن الجديدة هذه ستّ دول، أولها لاوس حيث سيشارك الوزير الأميركي السبت في اجتماع وزاري لدول رابطة دول جنوب شرق آسيا (آسيان).
ومن المحتمل أن يلتقي بلينكن في فيينتيان، عاصمة لاوس، على هامش الاجتماع الوزاري، نظيره الصيني وانغ يي.
وتشمل جولة بلينكن ستّ دول هي لاوس وفيتنام واليابان والفيليبين وسنغافورة ومنغوليا.
